My name is Greer Aukstakalnis, I have been an occupational therapist for 20 years and with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit since 1998. I am a life long resident of Upper Dauphin County in Pennsylvania and am a graduate of Elizabethtown College. During my career with the CAIU, I have worked with students ranging in age from 3-21 with a variety of needs. My special interests include working with preschoolers and students with autism. I have specialized training in the areas of sensory processing and behavior. I love working together with families, therapists and teachers to help students reach their highest potential. Occupational Therapy

OT's help children develop the skills needed to participate in everyday "occupations", including play, education, social relationships and activities of daily living. OT's address physical, cognitive, psychosocial, self-regulation and other areas of performance in a variety of environments to support engagement in everyday activities that affect health, well being and quality of life.
